  1. As usual, an amazing amount of positive energy, with lots of good progress. Could you consider putting a link to your Fiverr gig here on a sidebar? I use Fiverr occasionally and probably am not the only one who’d love to know what you’re working on. Congrats on that progress on JuNaNoWriMo and decluttering. No matter where we are, that’s just tough! I keep looking at my 3 bookcases of books I still love, not quite ready to let them go!

    1. Beth, the idea of putting a link to my fiverr gig in the sidebar never occurred to me until I read this, so THANK YOU!!! Not only can I do that, but it will look pretty here, and reach an audience of people who already are reading my work – brilliant! Adding to this week’s (and today’s, if I can manage it) project list. =D

I’m seeing the decluttering as both grieving and rebirth. it gives me a physical way to acknowledge the life, partnership, and friendship that’s been lost, while getting excited about where I/we am/are, and what lies ahead…

In less than a month, Lise will turn 14. Later this summer, Jeremiah will be 17. I have one more homeschool report to do for him, and then he’s “finished” schooling (“finished” is in quotes because nothing in the way he lives will really be affected by that administrative milestone).

My children are becoming adults, and, while much of my focus now is on helping them navigate that process, I’m also looking forward to a horizon where they both are adults, and our relationships mature, and my primary focus will be on developing myself.

It’s both a tremendously frightening and deeply exciting time in my life, wrapped in both sorrow and joy….

As for your friends in those bookcases….I don’t believe in parting with things we aren’t yet ready to let go of. ❤

      1. Thank you for such a thoughtful note. I can’t believe the kids are growing up so fast — and through such a period of change, grieving, and adjustment. Your writing has shared (and I hope will continue to share) the highlights of struggle and achievement, inspiring me more than ever to just be aware, to cherish each day, and to persevere. Yes, I’ll be looking for that link to fiverr!

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
