Sleepwalking #ROW80 /#12WeekYear MidWeek 10 and #IWSG

Hi there, ROWers and friends!

On Sunday, I wrote about seeking my strut.

Since then:

  • The realization that I need to replace the bed Jim and I shared, and in which he died, has led to sleeping 7+ hours at a stretch – almost unheard of for me –and a new pre-sleep routine that soothes me to slumber. Since the bed is house-shaped, with a peaked rafter roof, it would be perfect as a small greenhouse, so it will remain in our lives.
  • The package with Jim’s ashes safely reached his family, so soon he will have his wish of having them buried at his father’s orchard.
  • I’ve made significant progress in crafting an updated bio, and posted to Patreon for the first time since late September.
  • To get to know my new phone, I read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, and think it may indeed change my life.

It’s also the first Wednesday of the month, and that means it’s Insecure Writer’s Support Group Day. I’ve been intending to join in for over a year, and now seems as good a time as any.

This month’s question:

How do you celebrate when you achieve a writing goal/finish a story?

Generally, I take a bit of time to absorb the completion of a major goal, and then move forward with other goals and projects while that warm glow of accomplishment is still fresh. That lets me use the sense of confidence as I delve into other projects.

If you’d like to participate in IWSG this month, please link here.
