It’s officially a ROW80 break – Round One is over, and Round Two won’t begin until Sunday….but, since I set my goals by month as well as by round, here I am, offering up my penultimate March update.
My primary goal, at this point, is to finish plotting The Last House (Kifo Island #7) in time to start drafting on Saturday, when April CampNaNoWriMo begins. I figure I’ve just about got enough time to do that. So this update, and the next, may have a marked decrease in other goals pursued as I hunker down and birth an open-ended outline.
When you’ve got one goal you really want or need to focus on, is it easy for you to do that, or do you find yourself pulled away by all the other things you want or need to do?
Ready? Me too (I think)!
Then off we go!
Note: Goals I engaged with during this session are detailed in this update. For complete lists, see the links below.
Kifo Island: Complete The Story Toolkit for April novel; flesh out with pages from The Writer’s Coloring Book. Flesh out AeonTimeline. File new series bible materials. Primary goal adapted. Love Interest and Antagonist Character Arcs; Romance Arc; and Subplot sections complete. Printed remaining worksheets. Setting aside timeline for now; that can happen during or post drafting. Overall: Step 10/22 complete. I should pick up speed from this point forward, since I’ve done most of the “heavy lifting.”
- Resets/reorganizations: study, family room, bedroom, living room, bathroom, and kitchen. Complete three 27 thing flings each room, each week. One 27 thing fling on porch and/or yard each week. 33 General Hometending rounds weekly. Secondary goal. General: 10/33;
My beloveds: One on one time with each, doing something of value to us both, each week. Primary goal. Conversation; planning; dreaming; flirting; scheming.
Continue planning/ attending outings (personal and family) as desired. Secondary goal. Write- in; grocery shopping. Welcome to Night Vale Live Show with my daughter in April. Plans to go swimming and to the Saratoga Battlefield soonish. Planning for Unschoolers Rock the Campground.
NNWM local group: Interact regularly, in person and online; participate actively in critique group. Tertiary goal. Discussed currently queued posts with authors; write-in; online chatter.
Journal six mornings and four evenings each week. Meditate six mornings and three evenings weekly. Primary goal. Morning: 1/6 journal/ meditation. Evening: 0/4 journal; 0/3 meditation.
Get a cumulative total of at least 99 minutes moderate physical activity 5 days weekly; 111 minutes (1 hour, 51 minutes) twice weekly, and 9 hours of more strenuous activities (tai chi, swimming, hiking, cardio, weights, etc.). Secondary goal. 99 minutes: 2/5; 111 minutes: 1/2; Strenuous: 4 hours, 20 minutes /9 hours.
Leaps of Faith:
Reading: Listen to Welcome to Night Vale audiobook; read two other books: Under the Blood Red Sun and Dreams from My Father. DFMF: p. 457/457. This was a brilliant book that took me around the world; almost like listening to Mr. Obama speak. Oh, and – Leap of Faith goal COMPLETED!
