Entering September With Purpose: ROW80 Goals

Hey there, ROWers and others!

A new month brings a new season, and, for me, new goals. I’m heading into another three-month creative surge; much of September’s focus will be split between Story- a Day and the end-of-year homeschool paperwork. Once I finish this final batch, though, I’ll have a breather until the first quarter reports are due in mid-December. That will feel amazing, after the siege.

Here’s my complete September goals list. At each update, I’ll list only the goals I interacted with, and link to this post for those who want to reference the full list.

The Writing Challenge That Knows You Have a Life!

At the apple orchard, two Octobers back.

I am myself. I own my life, and live with three other people who own theirs. My intention is to do only those things that bring me joy, and to give myself wholly to those things I do. Writing has been my passion throughout my life, and this will become the home for my writing life...because it brings me great joy!

    1. Because we homeschool and my Accomplice is currently unemployed, we spend lots of time together. Because we prefer to live in partnership with our kids, that time is vital for knowing who they are. Because they’re growing up soooo fast (how, HOW are they 15 and 12?!) I don’t want to miss these last years with them – nor do I want to be staring at my Accomplice when they move on with their lives, wondering who this man is and why we’re together.

Honestly, that family time is more important than just about anything else in my life – even writing!

    1. Thanks, Jennette! I’ve got all the sketches done, and today starts my first three days of “Philodosia” – my first true alternative history. I’ve got a bit of page fright, so I’m going to stagger it with homeschool reporting and other things. It doesn’t need to be perfect, after all, and these two actually had a bit of conversation the other day that they let me listen in on…I think they’re going to be very entertaining together. =)

    1. Me? I’m just over here having fun (OK, and writing homeschool reports, which is somewhat less so). Will I be seeing you tonight for the kind of awesome that has pointy ears?

        1. I’m fine either way, really. One of those completely unbiased moments. =) So entirely up to you. We can even text on the fly if you’d rather.

I’m going to grab a nap and a shower, then see if I can finish a very rough story before I leave here at 6ish.

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
