Final Reflections…End of September Update, 2015

Round Three ended before September, so I’m back now with my end of month goals. I have ideas for October (actually, I’m already living October. I’ll wait to list those goals until the first Round Four update, though, so that I can bring my 2015 goals update in the next day or so.

Overall, I feel I had a great month, with nice forward momentum and reasonably low stress. Several things were finished. Most were moved forward, and a few are still waiting their turn to be the center of my attention.

It’s a good way to end a month.

I’ll be posting my Round Four goals later today –  Monday, October 5.

Color-coding key:

  • Goal attained = blue with overstrike.

  • Goal in progress = green.

  • Goal-in-waiting = red.

  • Foul Deeds Will Rise: Trueborn Weft Series #2: Reread, and decide whether to rewrite missing, scenes,or set aside until I have access to the rest, Going with the third option: resume writing approximately where I left off, in Scene 29, and accept the potential for inconsistencies once all disparate elements are compiled.

  • The IDIC Romance: Choose 2/3 paragraphs for each letter; do an 11:11 Stream of Consciousness sprint for each; these will be the basis for new stories and A-Z posts. This week: Letters M-Z. Letters M P.

  • Slow Jazz Awakening”: Using compiled notes, draft rough revision plan for 16 scenes. Scene 3/16 in progress.

Blogging/Social Media:

  • Publish all regular features posts; scheduling ahead if possible; post at least one authorized reblog. Not so well with the reblogging; good on posting. Moving gradually ahead with snippet posts.

  • Catch up all June and July blog comments and visits. Not as much as I’d hoped.

  • ROW80: Keep visits and updates current. Freewrite ideas and notes for Round 4 Sponsor Post. This week: Updates and visits; reread brainstorming session, and do another; organize notes into the basis of a post plan. Sign on as a Round 4 sponsor. Mostly done; but not quite.

  • Empty email inbox. This week: Get below 1111 messages; tend to Archives file. Good progress made, but more to go.

  • Homeschool Administration: Complete all pending paperwork; including Fourth Quarter Reports. Submit Annalise’s test results to school district, submit Jeremiah’s Peer Review Panel Form. Draft IHIPs. Last week: Finish all 2014/5 paperwork and submit. All but the IHIPs complete.
  • Continue decluttering/beautification projects; in home and/or yard, five days weekly. Continue making improvements to our home and our quality of life. Fair progress; will intensify for Round Four.

  • Continue planning/ attending August/September outings and events. Take into account each child’s need for social time and hibernation – and the all-important budget. It’s been a more cocooning spell, here, with most outings still pending.

  • NNWM local group: Attend write-ins regularly, and check in on the Facebook and Twitter groups as inspired. Read and critique both projects I’ve been hanging onto. Not so well on the crits, or Twitter; good on the write-ins and Facebooking.
  • Complete the two beta reads I’ve had waaay too long. Not a thing….

  • My beloveds: One on one time with each, doing something of value to us both, several times each week. A rousing and connecting success.
  • Read 3 fellow author books; complete 5 reviews. Finished book #3; Slave Again by Alana Terry, early Thursday morning. Wrote 1 review.

  • Write in Intentions journal/ #onegoodcup journal six times each week. Meditate seven times weekly, including one eating meditation. Explore one new meditative practice.  Did well on these, with room for improvement.

  • T’ai chi practice: at home five times; class twice. Continue reading The Tai Chi Directory, and adding movements to my at-home practice. Some progress; a little inconsistent.

  • Make time for physical activity six days a week; use phone app to track three time a week. Again, decent, but not as consistent as I’d like.

These goals are a part of Kait Nolan‘s  ROW80 Writing Challenge.

I am myself. I own my life, and live with three other people who own theirs. My intention is to do only those things that bring me joy, and to give myself wholly to those things I do. Writing has been my passion throughout my life, and this will become the home for my writing life...because it brings me great joy!

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
