Growth in the Deeps: June 14 (ummm, 15…), 2015

ROWin ‘ on to the approaching shore….

Ever feel like things are shifting in deep ways you can’t express?

Yup, that’s me.

I’m not even going to try. It’ll happen, when it happens.

All I’ll say is that I’m alive, well, and growing…

And on to the reason we’re all here –

my ROW80 update!

Color-coding key:

  • Goal attained (for the session, or the round) = blue with overstrike.

  • Goal in progress (for the session or the round) = green.

  • Goal-in-waiting (for the round) = red.

Writing:

Continue Kifo Island Chronicles Series:

  • Generations (KIC #2):  Complete rough draft during JuNoWriMo, aim for one scene/day average. 11/24 scenes complete; Scene 12 in progress. 29,435/~60,000 words. JuNo word count: 23,738/50,000; nearly at the halfway point of the novel. Next up: Continue on….and finish this draft.
  • Sea Changes (KIC#3): Complete all planning and plotting; ready to go when Generations is complete. Reviewed/revised character sketches; set plot/pinch points for all. Created scene by scene story outline: 24/24 scenes named and ordered. Next up: Flesh out all scenes with goal/ motivation/ conflict/ disaster or resolution. This is the point that makes the story ‘real’ to me.

The IDIC Romance:

  • Compile 2015 Story A Day May  stories with existing The IDIC Romance  stories, in chronological order; create notes and explorations for future story ideas as inspired; write one sentence ideas for A-Z 2016 potential topics; write wrap-up post and create blog page for IDIC stories. Letters completed: 13/26. Wrap-up post and blog page published.  SoCS story written Saturday. Next up: complete N-Z topics; add prompt links for IDIC page.

Trueborn Weft Series:

Editing:

  • Complete revisions for “Slow Jazz Awakening”, using Rock Your Revisions, and submit. Scene 9/16 complete. Scene 10 in progress. Organic adaptations to general to-do list for next revision pass. Next up: Continue rereading scenes and creating detailed revision notes; create revision pass plan.

Blogging:

  • Complete all sponsor visits on time; visit 3 other blog hop and challenge participants each day, on average. Yes.
  • Clean up/update blog sidebar. Did an initial weedthrough of sidebar widgets; chose several to try; added one. Next up: Continue cleanup; reorganization; and widget exploration.

Hometending:

  • Continue with hometending. At least 5 days weekly; include decluttering and yard projects minimum of 3 days .5/5 days; 4/3 yard/declutter. Four more flower patches seeded; weeding. Next up: Continue this trend, paying attention to my own needs for activity and rest.
  • Homeschool Paperwork: Order/administer Annalise’s test by July 31; complete and submit third quarter reports for both children by June 15; submit Letters of Intent to Homeschool by July 1.  Annalise has completed all  but her Language Usage test. Reports complete and submitted. Next up: Complete Annalise’s testing; submit for scoring; write and submit Letters of Intent.
  • Catch up Email. More weeding and deleting. ~3600 messages (getting closer….). Next up: More. I’ve got a long way to go (and Annalise has had my Kindle for two days)!
  • Scan, save, and organize Arizona Photos. I cleared off the scanner – a small but integral step! Unfortunately, the stuff is now on the desktop, waiting to be rehomed. Next up:Rehoming, wiping, scanning, organizing.

Lifetending:

  • Continue one-on-one time with all beloveds; online and in-person writerly socialization; time with friends; social media. Lots of time with beloveds; a little online interaction; almost all through blogs. Next up: More.
  • Expand and extend in ways that feel natural and challenging without forcing. Try two new things each week. 2/2 – Submitted a story, and nominated one, for StoryFest 2015. Wrote blogpost for that. Joined the Ready. Set. WRITE! Summer Intensive, and wrote an intro/goals post. Next up….some more new things. Not sure what quite yet, but something….

Selftending:

  • Continue physical activity and exercise – 5 times/week at minimum. 7/5; 6 Shortish walks; planting; weeding; home and yardtending; and t’ai chi. Next up: More moving; more tending; more exercise; more t’ai chi.
  • Attend t’ai chi once to twice weekly. One at-home practice move per week. This week’s move: Cloud Hands. I got up and ready for Thursday’s class, but the kids were both asleep, and since I would get home after Accomplice left for work, I wasn’t comfortable with that. No at-home practice yet, this session, but it’s getting easier in class, and I reviewed the form. Next up: Possibly attend Thursday class. Practice. Because practice makes better.
  • Meditate/Intentions journal thrice weekly. 3/3: Meditation,4/3: Intentions Journal exploration and writing. Next up: Keep on with these.

Adding in, because I forgot to list it with my June goals…

  • Enjoy #onegoodcup daily. So far, so good. Soooo good! So emotion and thought provoking.
