February 4, 2015: Peripheral Vision

ROWin’ Merrily Through the Winter! =D

So, have you ever had a list of goals – and instead found yourself doing other things?

That sums up a good bit of this session, for me. The other things in question will benefit me, and my family – but they really don’t show up in this update – they’re rather elusive and mysterious, these other things I’ve been up to. Eventually, I might share them…or not.

For now, let’s look away, and give the other things their privacy, shall we?

I am myself. I own my life, and live with three other people who own theirs. My intention is to do only those things that bring me joy, and to give myself wholly to those things I do. Writing has been my passion throughout my life, and this will become the home for my writing life...because it brings me great joy!

    1. Yup, she’s a tortie. She used to live at Eden Mabee’s house; her father’s still there. She lived semi-feral until she came to be with us at 7 months, a bit after our beloved Manx, Margot, died.

Squeak’s extremely athletic, like a panther. And once i n a while, she’s laughably clumsy. She also happens to be very determined about getting the affection sshe wants, precisely how she wants it!

      1. Torties and calicos are the redheads of the cat world (I’m from a family of redheads, and Mom always said I should have been one). They know what they want and they won’t settle for anything else. We’ve been blessed with two torties (both now departed) and two calicos (one gone, one on her way out). Great cats.

        1. “Redheads of the cat world!” Indeed! =)

And I’m sorry about your calico. We’re hoping for many good years yet with the Squeaker-wreaker. She’s 3.

We’ll also be adding another cat sometime later in the spring, because Annalise is really missing her tiny tabby from the woods, Baby, who died last summer.

So maybe another tortie or calico in our future.

          1. Tuffy, the one who’s not long for this world, is almost 18, and was born here and lived here her entire life. She stopped grooming herself and her hair has matted (she’s a medium-haired, muted calico), but she still wants to eat half a dozen times a day and scouts around in the kitchen looking for food all the time. We’re just enjoying one day at a time and, when she goes, she goes.

  1. blimey, looks to me like you still get an awful lot done. My time seems to be taken up by “Love Is In Da Blog” which is so wonderful as the bloggers taking part are so creative and I can discover so much. “Zara” suffers a little but she had to wait for 20 years another month won’t make a difference 🙂

    1. I bop from thing to thing….my brain works that way, anyway, so I go with it.

I haven’t gotten to as many of the other posts as I want to – Trip and T’Pol have insisted on four stories now, in the last week…and they don’t stop, once they get started….

      1. Oh, I know those stubborn characters 🙂 I am neglecting Zara terribly and I suspect I will have to suffer in March 😉

        1. March is going to be rife with revisions and planning, for me. I’ll have a writing or blogging challenge every month from April-July, so I’ll need some time to set things up (I like open-ended plans more than shooting in the dark!).

          1. I’ve somehow given up to plan as mine never work out. But I set myself goals and then run along with what comes. Seems to work so far…. 🙂

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
