A Nestful of Sleepy Excitement: December 8, 2014

Wanna ROW with us!

Did you miss me? I know, I know – I’m already a day late – I was writing!

It’s been quite a week, for me story-wise…it’s also been a largely nocturnal one, with a big storm, and some big news…

But I’ll say more about that on Wednesday – right now, I’m in a hurry to get back to my story….so I hope you’ll forgive my evasive tactic from my waitressing days – “Smile more; talk less.”

December Focuses:

  • First Quarter Homeschool Reports for both children.

  • Finish my two “hanging” WIPs.

  • Set plans for 2015 Writing.

Ahhh, the nocturnal life…

  • Still very wrapped up in my story world, and running a bit behind with blogging…I’m playing this by ear, due to the story being alive and homeschool reports to write. Maybe in the next week…

Catch up comments and visits neglected during NaNoWriMo.

  • Added a trip to New Jersey.

Complete and submit both childrens’ first quarter homeschooling reports.

Author:

I am myself. I own my life, and live with three other people who own theirs. My intention is to do only those things that bring me joy, and to give myself wholly to those things I do. Writing has been my passion throughout my life, and this will become the home for my writing life...because it brings me great joy!

    1. This story is so much more than I thought it would be, when I started. There are tragic moments, funny moments, and a slew of twisty moments, too…

I’m really not that upset that my blog posting is a bit behind. There’s a long winter ahead; I’ll have lots of time to get caught up when the ebb tide comes…

And we *still* have a kitchen counter! I was amazing to see how many people relate! =)

  1. Amazing word counts! that story will be finished soon with all your writing. Sounds like you are making headway with all your goals. Loved the “clean counter” – for me it’s my dining room table. have to clear it every time we have a special dinner. But that is my writing table. All the best!

    1. I’m not doing as well with the fitness ones, between NaNo, snow, and the dark coming on so swiftly. I do have some shoveling to do a bit later, though, so, although I never made it to the Y this week, I will at least get in another strenuous activity…

Our table is a repository for STUFF – things the kids played with, outgrown items waiting to be rehomed, games systems, books, bits and pieces…
At least those dinners are an incentive to clear thigs out semi-regularly! =)

  2. ‘We have a kitchen counter! Who knew?!’ This made me laugh. I actually have on my weekly chores to clean off the counter. All our mail, papers, other crap collects so I have to clean it at least weekly or things get lost.

Sounds like you’re doing good. And 11k+!! Wow. My best day is 6k, I think. That’s amazing.

    1. Things can get very cluttered, here, too. Annalise looked at the expanse last night, and said, “What are we going to do with ALL THIS SPACE?”

I’m rhapsodizing about my slow cooker, a new blender, her cupcake maker – and NOTHING else!

It was a fantastic word say. I think it had something to so with a character who too longer to die than I thought she would, and my determination to get to that point before I slept…

Still, it’s nice to know that I can do that. My average daily count is closer to 5k…higher than it was a few years back, when the kids were smaller.

      6K rocks! =D

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
