A December Nest: December 4, 2014

Come ROW with us!

So, what happens, after the NaNoThon?

Well, in my case, I keep writing. I’ve got a little more than a quarter of the story left to write, and a sixth of another, and I want to finish them both (and well) this month.

But I’m doing it at a more leisurely pace. And I’ll be doing other things, things I put aside for the NaNoThon – writing things, reconnecting things, traveling things, preparing things, reviewing things, joyful things, learning things…

You know. Life.

What about you? Is December a continuation of your November plans? A law unto itself? Just another month? Something completely different? I’d love to know!

  1. Wow Shan – what a cohesive set of goals for Dec. I aim to just keep writing! lol
We go to Saratoga Springs every Aug. for a week – my f-i-l started that 50 years ago and we’ve gone 12 now. Go for the horse racing and we stay in Lake George and do the tourist stuff too.
All the best in working on your goals this month.

  2. OMgoodness – that’s just your December list . . . I am such a slacker LOL!! Congrats on the great job with NaNoWriMo. I didn’t make it this year, but got further than ever before, so was very happy about that. November ended up being a bit of a crazy out of the ordinary month, so nothing really went as planned. I am going to continue working on the novel and want to finish it before 2015 is over. Like you, I have so many things I want and or need to do – but have to be honest, a little scared to write them all down in one list 😉 You are inspiring me!! ❤

    1. I take a different approach to goal-setting. I list the things I want to do, then narrow my focus as the month goes on. That’s why I have the focus areas; I know I’m not likely to clear the list, but I tend to forget about things that aren’t on it…so I put it all out there, and then blend it with life…

I think we all have ways that work for us, and others that don’t. I’ve been known to pick and choose things I see other people do, when it seems like it might work for me.

Getting further than you ever have is worthy of celebration, especially if the month got all wibbly-wobbly. Hooray for you! =D

Happy to inspire, and cheering us both on for December finishes! ❤

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
