Creative Renaissance: ROW80 Update, 4/9/14

Well, hello there!

We’re a mere two days into the round; there are 78 days left. =)

I’ve been busy creating. Creating a little more order at home. Creating flash fiction that may grow into something else, at a later time. Ideas are springing up like the first green shoots in my yard.

I’ve also been coughing and sneezing- yup, yet another cold found the Burton family this week.

I’ve got lots of irons in my personal fire. It feels good, and just a little overwhelming, to be at the beginning of the round, still getting used to the pace of challenges and projects, feeling out the vibe of this new season and this new round, with its new, creative theme.

It’s a bit of a whirlwind, but I like it! =D

I could say more, but this creative surge means that I have, somewhat inadvertently, committed myself to four Wednesday posts for the balance of April and May.

Midweek updates are therefore bound to be brief and to the point. I’ll be aiming for efficiency.

That said, let’s get on with it then, shall we?

I’ll review these goals at the end of each month, adding or adapting goals as indicated throughout the round, and definitely at the beginning of each month. I update only those goals I engaged with during this session.

My main focus, for April, will be on the two challenges I’m involved with this month – April CampNaNoWriMo, and Blogging From A-Z. Other goals will be addressed on a secondary basis.

You can check up on the other ROWers, and their plans for Round 2, right here!

And a taste of what Season Three holds….

I am myself. I own my life, and live with three other people who own theirs. My intention is to do only those things that bring me joy, and to give myself wholly to those things I do. Writing has been my passion throughout my life, and this will become the home for my writing life...because it brings me great joy!

    1. Bev,

I have a life that’s very well-suited to indulging in my passions, and, now that I’ve mastered more of the planning aspects, it’s not that hard to make progress, especially since I like to have a mixture of larger and smaller goals and steps. There’s always something or part of something that fits the space of time I have available.

I’m lovin’ these goals, and already feel changes happening! =)

  1. We’ve been having a lot of cool, dreary days lately, but the sun has decided to poke its head out this afternoon, so that’s something to look forward to. Eventually, spring will win out, even if winter lingers a bit. My moods are always affected by the weather, so more gray days equals lower energy. I’m looking forward to the sunshine and spending more time outside.

Good luck with this round, Shan Jeniah! Have a great day. 🙂

    1. Denise,

I tend to be affected by the weather, too. I take gray days as a perfect opportunity to go inward. It helps, and I tend to write more at these times, too.

So, I’m taking this slow start as a good reason to write lots, and putter around with the house and yard. Soon enough, the warm is going to pull me outside for sprucing up and play, and to spring cleaning, more and more.

In a way, the slow start is a bit of a blessing, some extra recharging time before that surge of new growth.

May you also have a blissfully productive Round 2!

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
