Party Play: ROW80 Update, 3/9/14

Hi there! I hope this update finds you well and happy! For me, it’s been a time of productivity and celebration, since it was capped off with my niece’s birthday party.

My revision project is coming along – I’ve found it takes about two days to revise the existing “scenes” (although many of them really didn’t qualify as scenes, as they were originally written), and three or four days to write and revise new scenes.

Happily, I am currently revising the first of five scenes with existing material, so I should have some momentum going into Jim’s weekend.

Still, however long it takes, I am enjoying the process. There are many problems with this rough draft. I’ve grown tremendously as a writer, in large part due to ROW80 and the goal-setting and community that go with it. But the story is good, and exciting, at its core…

It’s gratifying and fun to take that core, and build upon it. Subplots, dialogue, tension, escalation…

Oh, yes! Great fun!

 And now, onto the update…

My main focus for the balance of the round :

  • Revising Chameleon’s Dish;

  • Submitting the children’s homeschool reports;

  • Preparing for April and May’s intensive writing projects.

  • Continuing with home embetterment.

  • Continuing with life embiggening.

Oh, yes! My story is alive with possibilities!

  • Listed episodes I am drawn to expand.

  • Chose 14 episodes or sets of episodes to develop…each one will net two stories: one for each character’s POV.
